Texture Editing

  • Understanding the game-ready NVIDIA DDS file format (.dds, DXT compression, etc).
  • Ability to create and modify game textures:
    • Diffuse,
    • Normal Map, Bump Map, Height Map,
    • Glow Map,
    • Specular Map,
  • Creating Mask Maps and Tint Maps.

Mesh Editing

  • Ability to create simple models in 3dsMax.
  • Understanding of 3d Environment and terms (vertices, axes, polygons etc).
  • Basic mesh rigging.
  • Basic weighting for physics.
